Why We Chose Flat Pricing (No Renewal Traps)

The web hosting industry has a pricing problem. You have seen the ads: "₹69/month!" in giant letters, with "renews at ₹449/month" hidden in tiny grey text at the bottom. It is not illegal, but it is not honest either.

How the renewal trap works

Hosts sell you a 3-year or 4-year plan at a deep discount. The catch: when it renews, you pay the "regular" price — often 3x to 5x higher. By then, migrating your site feels like too much work, so you pay. That is the business model.

Why we do it differently

At K Host, the price you see is the price you pay — at signup and at renewal. ₹99 stays ₹99. We can do this because our infrastructure runs on efficient cloud servers in Mumbai, not overpriced legacy data centers, and we pass the savings to you instead of spending them on ads.

The math that makes it work

Honest pricing means fewer impulse signups but far better retention. Customers who are not tricked do not leave angry after year one. Our churn is lower, our support load is lighter, and we grow through referrals instead of ad spend. Everybody wins — except the renewal-trap playbook.

What to check before you buy hosting anywhere

  • Find the renewal price before checkout — it is usually in the terms or FAQ.
  • Check whether the intro price requires a multi-year lock-in.
  • Ask what happens to SSL, backups, and migration — free or paid add-ons?

If a host is honest about all three, you have found a good one. We like to think we are one of them.
